After the success of "Space Rock,"
for some unknown reason the band's management developed an obsession with
the concept of transforming the Baskerville Hounds from an authentic hard-rocking
band with an edgy attitude and gritty stage presence into a "cute and
cuddly" five-member Teddy Bear collection. This period also saw a constantly
shifting lineup, as members came and went due to military service and other
reasons, starting with the departure of John Kirkpatrick and Doug McCutcheon
in the summer of 1966.
